Bernadette attended school in Boca Raton Florida after moving from Ottawa Canada with her family in 1985. After high school she attended to Florida Atlantic University for the first two years of her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology before transferring to Stetson University in DeLand Fl where she graduated with her BS in Psychology. She then went on to obtain her Forensic Psychology Masters degree at University of Denver, Colorado in July 2001. Upon her return home to the Sunshine state she began working with children and families. It was here that her interest in chemical dependency began and her love of helping others solidified. Bernadette obtained her License of Mental Health Counselor in February 2004 and has never looked back. Instead she has sought further education in addictions and obtained her Certified Addictions Professional certification in 2006 in order to better understand and help those who struggle with chemical abuse and dependency. Bernadette has worked at various companies, both non-profit and for-profit, but was not fulfilled. She decided to open a treatment center that would focus on the needs of the client with trust, respect and compassion.
